My early experiences with instagram for my own personal learning network first at a young age was associated with connection to friends and some of my favorite celebrities. As I had gotten older I began to use instagram in a different way, when applying for colleges I used instagram to learn about college, make connections, as well as use their pages to find other websites and resources I could use to learn more. Into college, Instagram functioned in a similar way, Instagram helped with assisting in university announcements, learning about organizations, as well as other resources about the university. In future Instagram could be helpful in my future career with using its resources to make connections with colleagues as well as learn about resource connections. Instagram similar to twitter allows for individuals to be able to make connections as well as use the source to access more resources.

The digital divide has a wide range of effects on students when it comes to teaching in the classroom. Having a separation in digital understanding and as well as comprehension of technology, can make students that are of younger ages that lived with technology their entire life be faster and more understanding of how to use technology compared to a more elder teacher. Causes of the digital divide can range from exposure to technology, age ranges, as well as socioeconomic statuses that made technology exposure different to others. Experiences you could experience as a teacher related to the digital divide is difference in students understanding of technology, one student could be extremely advanced and another student could need a lot of help in understanding how to use. Another example could include students that are more knowledge of technological skills and tricks other than that aware of their teacher. These effects of the digital divide can affect personal teaching strategies by how to introduce technology and having to understand the digital comprehension that each class and individual student is at to teach.

Academic softwares can be extremely helpful to teachers and students in the classroom. Two software tools I would like to implement into my future classroom would be Google drive systems and Zoom. Zoom has become an important role in our daily life since COVID-19, Zoom now allows students and teachers to be able to connect to classrooms virtually as well as it allows students to be able to connect to people of academics that could allow students to interact with researchers, authors, etc. Google Drive allows students to be able to access the google programs that have a wide range from slides, docs, classroom and in the drive it safely stores students work and students don’t have to work about saving their work each time they close their computer. Both of these softwares will allow students and teachers to be able to interact in a digital environment that aids to the enhancement of learning and teaching.
